The years 1894-1895 were pivotal for American gunmaking. In 1894 Winchester released the John Browning-designed Model 1894 lever-action rifle, and the following year introduced the .30-30 - America's first sporting cartridge designed for smokeless powder. The combination took the hunting community by storm; it's estimated more whitetail deer have been harvested with it than with any other rifle-cartridge combination in American history.
The strong, handy, light '94 - especially in 20" carbine configuration - is ideal for dense woods, blinds and stands, while the .30-30 packs enough punch for deer and even black bear at moderate ranges with modest recoil. Uberti offers this carbine in its original guise: a 20" barrel over a 7-round tubular magazine, a traditional fully adjustable buckhorn rear sight with drilling and tapping for a tang sight, a 100% traditional top-ejecting action, and a straight A-grade walnut stock with checkering for extra purchase.
