Make ‘Em Horny

In this post, Peter Ray highlights a few things about creating food plots and mineral stations in your hunting area. Come out on June 10 to our next seminar for more tips and information!

Valley Guiding and Outfitting is based in Renfrew Ontario, in the outdoorsmen paradise of the Upper Ottawa Valley. We guide for multiple fish species on the Ottawa River, Madawaska River and other area lakes and rivers. We also guide for whitetail deer in the fall, and we have developed our own line of minerals and food plot seed blends for our favorite big game animal.  All of our products are of Canadian origin and have been tested and used extensively in our climate. Our mineral is designed to help deer all year round. In the spring the mineral helps bucks and does recuperate from the rigorous of our lengthy winters and the rut, and it helps does prepare for the upcoming dropping of their fawns. Through the summer months, the mineral aids in doe lactation and general health and antler development for the bucks. In the fall and winter, the mineral is there to help maintain herd health through the stressful months of breeding and cold weather. All of our seed blends are 100% germ tested and contain no filler. This means when you pay for 5 pounds of seed, you get 5 pounds of seed.  If the planting guide is followed, and seed bed preparation is done properly, your food plots will produce better than you have ever seen and you will have a great season of seeing deer on your hunting property. Valley Guiding and Outfitting will be at Triggers and Bows in Burford, Ontario on June 10 from 9-2 to discuss food plots site selection, seed bed preparation, trail camera placement and hunting strategies.
